Getting Pregnant (Naturally)

There is a lot of information (and if we are being honest… misinformation) out there regarding getting pregnant. Charting your cycle using a fertility awareness method can help demystify this process. Why? Bloom Cycle Care believes that knowledge is power. We want you to have the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about your health and fertility.

When you know, you know

Bloom Cycle Care specializes in teaching the FertilityCare System, an all natural method of observing and charting a woman’s cycle. Rachel will teach you to understand, recognize, and interpret the naturally occurring times of fertility and infertility every woman experiences.

Women are only fertile for a few days in each cycle. By accurately tracking and identifying these days, they can be effectively used to achieve or avoid pregnancy. These days of fertility are defined by being in close proximity to the time of ovulation. So if you want to get pregnant, you need to know approximately you are ovulating.

How does ovulation work?

Ovulation is when an egg is released from the ovary with the rupturing of a mature follicle. It is at this time that the egg can be fertilized by sperm which at the very moment of conception results in the creation of a new human life. Women ovulate only once during each cycle (except in special cases that double ovulation occurs within 24 hours resulting in twins!) ⁣

An egg can only live for 12-24 hours after ovulation has occurred if it is not fertilized. ⁣

Think about that for a minute. Can you really only become pregnant for 12-24 hours over the course of your entire menstrual cycle (on average 28 days)? Not exactly. This window of fertility is expanded by a vital factor: cervical mucus. With good cervical mucus, sperm can live for 3-5 days, which expands a woman’s window of fertility in each cycle. ⁣

It’s not possible to know exactly when a woman is ovulating unless she has a series of ultrasound exams to track the process. With a fertility awareness method such as FertilityCare, however, a woman is able to easily and accurately identify the window of fertility around the time of ovulation by observing and tracking her naturally occurring signs of fertility also known as biomarkers.

Get Pregnancy Quickly

When a couple has fertility focused intercourse (that is to say, they are charting and know the woman’s time of fertility and are having intercourse during this time) it greatly increases their chances of quickly achieving pregnancy.

Studies show a 76% chance of conception in couples with normal fertility in the first cycle of using FertilityCare. Couples with normal fertility have a 90% chance of conceiving after only three cycles and after six cycles of fertility focused intercourse, 98% of couples of normal fertility should expect to achieve pregnancy.

Why am I still not pregnant?

So we know that in order to achieve pregnancy, it requires

  • Good Eggs

  • Good Sperm

  • Good Cervical Mucus

If after only six cycles of fertility focused intercourse the couple is not pregnant then it may be time to refer for a medical consultation with a NaPro Technology doctor. This is another advantage of charting your cycle. With mainstream medicine, it takes a full year of “spontaneous acts of intercourse” until a couple can be referred for infertility treatments.

How is NaPro Technology different from IVF?

NaPro Technology - with the support of charting with FertilityCare - works to identify the underlying root cause of why a couple is not able to achieve or maintain a pregnancy. Once the cause has been identified it can be treated to help restore a woman’s reproductive health and achieve a natural and healthy pregnancy. This is different from the approach of artificial reproductive technologies (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). IVF may help some couples achieve pregnancy but at great cost - financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally.

NaPro Technology has a much greater success rate than IVF while also being less expensive. In short, NaPro Technology supports a couple in identifying the root causes, restoring reproductive health which allows a couple to achieve pregnancy naturally, maintains and celebrates the dignity of each woman and marriage, and importantly maintain a healthy pregnancy to full term.

NaPro Technology offers real solutions to real problems.
